Two suspects appeared before the Soshanguve Magistrate’s Court today for selling muffins laced with dagga to 90 learners from Pulamadibogo Primary School.
They are facing attempted murder charges and will be appearing in the same court on 29 September 2023.
This follows an incident that took place on Wednesday, where 90 learners from the said school were hospitalised after consuming muffins that are suspected to have been laced with dagga.
Gauteng Education Spokesperson Steve Mabona said that the department is happy to inform that, effectively to date, all affected learners are now discharged from the hospital.
The Gauteng Education MEC said that he was pleased that two (02) suspects who allegedly sold muffins laced with dagga have been arrested and appeared before the Soshanguve Magistrate’s Court.
