The Rietgat SAPS, in collaboration with Gauteng Traffic, TMPD, and CPF Patrollers recently unveiled a new Mobile Community Service Centre (CSC) to address crime hotspots in the area. This initiative aims to bring essential police services closer to communities and enhance safety and security in high-risk zones.
The Mobile CSC is a critical tool for law enforcement, allowing officers to respond swiftly to incidents and provide support to residents in crime-affected areas.
According to The Rietgat SAPS, this strategic deployment will focus on areas identified as hotspots, ensuring a proactive approach to tackling crime.

Rietgat SAPS management stressed the importance of this collaborative effort, acknowledging the support of partner agencies whose presence underscores the shared commitment to community safety.
Brigadier Devan Govender, the Station Commander, emphasised the importance of safety to the community of Soshanguve, particularly in areas like Jukulyn and Squatter Camps. He urged residents to prioritize their safety. Pamphlets containing safety tips and information were distributed at the Batho Plaza Kiosk as part of the initiative.
“Festive Season Awareness stamped the authority of Law Enforcers while on a roving convoy around Jukulyn Hotspots and loud hailing to Community about their safety and encouraging them to break the silence to any crime to be reported and utelise their Mobile CSC truck nearby.”
Tshwane Bulletin interviewed community members about the new Mobile Community Service Centre and their thoughts on the initiative. Many residents have welcomed the project, expressing hope that the Mobile CSC will effectively reduce crime and strengthen trust between law enforcement and the community.
