The K&M Foundation in Mabopane celebrated its birthday by hosting an event packed with activities and entertainment showcasing local talent.
It has been three years since the Foundation was founded, and the organisation has managed to improve the quality of life of those in need.
The non-profit organisation supported the local community by providing health education and food parcels.
The devoted K&M Foundation staff worked together to leave a particular feeling in the hearts of the community. The K&M Foundation was established to bring hope and light to the Mabopane community through activities that have had a significant impact.
K&M Foundation operates under four objectives which are educational, motivational sessions, cleaning the environment, and donating food parcels.
Tshepang Mashike, secretary of the K&M Foundation, stated that three years later, the foundation had achieved its purpose of giving back to the community.
“The foundation has helped improve the lives of children from diverse backgrounds and age groups, demonstrating a high level of determination.”
Different activities were held during their 3rd birthday celebration, including aerobics, modeling, and swimming. The community shared meals and cake before departing.
Education is an essential pillar of the K&M Foundation. They launched a programme where they assist students with their homework and provide study recommendations for them.
“This year, we intend to increase our involvement and investment in the community,” said Mashike confidently.
“The K&M Foundation wishes to continue hosting events like such to engage the community and create a safe space for them.”
“We will continue offering educational programmes as part of our commitment to uplift our community,” added Mashike.
Koketso Matjiane, the founder of the K&M Foundation, stated that they were celebrating their birthday with the community because of the support they got when the organisation was established, and wanted to give young children the opportunity to have fun during the day.
