Boston Media House in Pretoria third-year Public Relations students Mbali Nzuke and Nhlakanipho Manana coordinated a remarkable charity campaign that distributed necessities like canned food, clothing, stationery, and hygiene products that are vital for everyday life.
The donation drive is in conjunction with P.E.N. an inclusive faith based organisation that assists people in breaking free from the cycle of poverty and creating a community in which everyone is welcome.
The event, which took place at the college’s campus, demonstrated the students’ dedication to improving their local area. The mission of the non-profit organisation P.E.N is to equip people with the skills they need to overcome obstacles in life and to take an active role in their futures by helping them to envision a better tomorrow.
Nzuke contends that the donation drive is part of the initiative assignment that requires final-year students to organize a charity event in order to guarantee practical experience for their coursework. The P.E.N. (Participate, Envision, Navigate) produced the event to improve and invest in community life.
During the event, Nzuke and Manana, the students, presented P.E.N. a substantial donation in support of the organisation’s goal of uplifting underprivileged communities, with the assistance of their fellow students and faculty members.

“We are very proud of Mbali and Nhlakanipho for making this campaign a success, and we believe that they are dedicated to greatness,” said Jacky Leso, Boston Media House academic manager.
“Their work showcases the power of education and community engagement in creating positive change. It’s heartening to see young individuals taking proactive steps towards making a difference.” Added Leso.

Representatives from P.E.N. expressed their gratitude for the students’ efforts. “This donation will go a long way in helping us achieve our goals of providing education, empowerment, and support to those in need.
Nzuke concluded by stating that the accomplishment of this charitable handover event provides a positive model for students and the larger community, emphasizing the possibility of making significant contributions to society through committed efforts.
