To help young people enhance their business abilities, ActionSA hosted an entrepreneurship seminar. The political party conducted the workshop as part of a series focusing on inclusive entrepreneurship and tackling the difficulties faced by young entrepreneurs.
The workshop was held at Tshwane University of Technology in Ga-Rankuwa with the presence of ActionSA President Herman Mashaba, who was joined by MMC of Economic Development and Spatial Planning, Hannes Coetzee, along with ActionSA Gauteng Provincial Chairperson Funzi Ngobeni and Tshwane Caucus Leader Jackie Mathabathe.
Mashaba emphasized that young people have potential, but unfortunately, the current generation invests in wrong things like alcohol and unnecessary lifestyles.
He further addressed the importance of developing youth entrepreneurship in the townships while addressing the high unemployment rate among the youth.

“Workshops like this one are designed to emphasize cultivating entrepreneurial mindsets, which entail altering attitudes, according to Mashaba.
“The knowledge required to be an entrepreneur is not only related to professional practice in running a business but also to skills and attitudes,” added Mashaba
“This entrepreneurship workshop aims to equip and train young minds to be independent and think outside the paradox,” added Herman Mashaba.
He urged the young adults to get their company ideas off the ground as soon as possible. It is an excellent illustration of a person in his 30s who ran a seamless business.
MMC Coetzee issued a manual named #mybusiness. Which directs Entrepreneurs on how to identify a good business idea, the characteristics of an entrepreneur, and business management concepts.
Participants appeared empowered as they were all noodling over how to apply the lessons learned. Some of the young adults bought copies of “Black Like You” by Herman Mashaba.
Mashaba is the founder of the hair care and beauty products company, “Black Like Me” which operated from a small factory in Ga-Rankuwa, five years later, it had developed into a business worth millions of rands with a factory in Mabopane. The hair product company became the biggest hair brand in South Africa, making him a millionaire.
He also criticized old men who take advantage of young people and particularly politicians who abuse their position of power as he closed the workshop. “Young individuals who do not currently vote must register to assist in the demise of the African National Congress”.
