ActionSA has launched a Women’s Forum as part of its auxiliary women’s political organisational division to attempt to reach out to women and garner support in local communities.
The party established by former DA member Herman Mashaba, also elected new Women’s Forum leaders to spearhead the wing and address the challenges faced by women.
Regional Chairperson Tinky Ledwaba and Regional Secretary Esme Masuku are the newly appointed leaders of ActionSA Women’s Forum in the MAWIGA Constituency.
The Party has enjoyed strong support from the communities of Mabopane, Winterveldt and Ga-Rankuwa (MAWIGA) as attendance at branch meetings is growing.

ActionSA Tshwane Regional Chairperson Jackie Mathabathe said that the forum is aimed at bringing together women in politics. It will allow them to discuss politics as women only. It serves women without prioritising men.
“The launch was a success, and we appointed people we believe will work well with members of the forum and women in the community,” said Mathabathe.
The newly elected Chairperson of the Women’s Forum postulated that she believes her leadership will continue to educate women about true politics.
She envisions her capacity to expose women to political education and give them a chance to voice up. Because she thinks women are slightly oppressed when it comes to politics.
“The launch was a success and a stepping stone to bring women in politics together, We are looking forward to having Women’s conferences and engagements,” said Ledwaba.
