The South African Council of Churches Greater Tshwane hosted a prayer service at Temba in Hammanskraal by inviting churches from different religious dominions. This was to pay tribute to victims of the Cholera outbreak.
Reverend Dr. Johaness Magoro, the national executive of SCCGT, as well as Pastor Martha Bopape led the invocation at Ebenezer Bible Church among many others.
In response to the outbreak, Magoro said that council members and church organisations are praying for those affected.
During the invocation, those who had died from Cholera were honoured and grieved. But while grieving, it was also a time to heal.
“We have come here to offer support through prayer and saying to the families that suffered a loss to their loved ones that there is hope in God,” said Reverend Magoro.

Reverend Dr. Magoro further stated that communities wanted to pray for all those who lost their lives during this outbreak.
Families affected by the loss attended the prayer service to console themselves and heal from the devasting event.
As he preached spiritually moving sermons, Reverend Dr. Magoro also emphasized unity in churches during hardships.

She also spoke about the importance of healthy living and spiritual upliftment. ” Avoid high blood pressure because it leads to a loss of faith when you are heavily overwhelmed.
The Bishop of Ebenezer Bible Church, Philip Mogwera, urged churches not to be controlled by politicians , while he acknowledged the service was successful, he expressed gratitude for the opportunity to host it.
“The Ebenezer Bible Church welcomes SACCGT to provide spiritual support to Hammanskraal cholera victims , said Pastor Mogwera.
