As part of its efforts to assist people aspiring to start businesses, The City and StartUp have recently launched Tshwane virtual entrepreneurship academy.
The academy targets young entrepreneurs, aspiring entrepreneurs, and retrenched workers by offering free world-class training via an online platform.
The training materials are provided by experts and seasoned business owners who share their knowledge and experience with growing and StartUp enterprises.
Ald Hannes Coetzee MMC for Economic Development and spatial planning said,” Considering the current high unemployment rate in the country, particularly among young people the academy is an excellent empowerment opportunity”.
He further added that young individuals who want to start their businesses or grow their businesses are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity by enrolling in one of the courses offered on the platform.
“The courses provided by the Virtual Entrepreneurship Academy consist of lessons on how to start a business and how to find clients and grow your business,” said Coetzee.
