Gobeni is a 36 year old model and philanthropist passionate about social responsibility and giving back to the community.
Her initiatives led to volunteering programs achieving sustainability and paying attention to community impact. Recently she held a donation drive donating sanitary towels to continue participating in social initiatives
Gobeni donated sanitary towels to Filadelfia students as part of investing in community livelihoods.
The school provides day and boarding services to students with various disabilities, including deafness and blindness.
“ The reason I chose Filadelfia is because I have a sister with a disability and she was once a student there,” said Gobeni.
She further added that the Filadelfia School has a special place in her heart and she will always contribute her time to the school.
It was the realisation that schools were lacking necessities like sanitary towels that inspired Gobeni to donate. The Miss Curvylicious platform has allowed her to implement this campaign.
Concerning upcoming projects she has collected 70 sanitary towels and is aiming to collect 100 so she can donate to another school. Her donation drive is still on and donations are being accepted.
Gobeni is currently a finalist in the Miss Curvylicious SA competition. Gobeni and her team were warmly welcomed by the school’s management and their generosity was greatly appreciated.
