System Operations at the W-substation are still tracking the fault on the ring feeder cables. The main feeder cables tested positive, and part of the affected areas will be restored while the team continues to investigate.
The following blocks are affected: Block-KK, SS, S, R, T, V, X, and W. 2) CC-substation: 2x main feeder cables were stolen behind Block-CC, and there is no way to backfeed. Until cable replacement is completed, blocks CC, AA, F, and G will remain off.
The team is busy replacing stolen MV feeder cables that left residents of Block CC, G, H and AA without electricity. Affected residents should allow the City’s technical team to work unhindered. It is estimated that the power supply will be restored soon.
Soshanguve residents are currently without a power supply due to cable theft that affected the nearby substation.
The cabling team will procure replacement cable and associated material. Planned ETR 19:00 and might extend due to inclement weather.
