The Rietgat police continue to enforce law and order by ensuring that transgressors are put behind bars and members of the community live fearlessly.
This past weekend, the station arrested over 37 suspects for the commission of inter alia; drunk driving, driving without a licence, rape, illegal trading of alcohol, attempted murder, possession of unlicensed firearm, interference with police duties.
Some of the crimes includes impersonating a police officer, assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, contravention of protection order,
Assault common (domestic violence related) possession of drugs, undocumented immigrants, possession of the stolen property, possession of drugs, dealing in drugs, housebreaking and theft, intimidation, carjacking, common robbery and malicious property damage.
All the arrested suspects are expected to appear before the Soshanguve Magistrate Court.
