A 37 year old male is set to appear in the Pretoria North Magistrate on rape charges.
According to a Police statement released by Constable Peter Nhlanhla Zondi from South African Police Services ( SAPS) Soshanguve it said “ On Monday 2022-03-07 a case of rape was reported at South African Police Services Soshanguve”. It is alleged that the victim had visited her boyfriend at his place, he was found drinking alcohol with his cousin and the girlfriend went straight to bed.
It further said that when she woke up she realized that sexual intercourse took place while she was asleep. When the victim asked, she was allegedly assaulted by the boyfriend. The assault was accompanied by vulgar words towards the victim.
Case docket was investigated and led to the arrest of a 37year old male on Monday 2022-03-21 in the evening. Suspect set to appear in the Pretoria North Magistrate Court on Wednesday 2022-03-23.
