Prospective learners, who want to spread the wings and fly, were shown glimpse of what working for an airline entails as one the country’s leading academy held its open day recently.
S.MAB Training Academy located at Provisus Building in Arcadia Pretoria, opened its doors to learner’s eager to take to the sky by successfully showcasing careers within the aviation hospitality industry.
The academy’s Training Manager Ursula Badenhorst said “Today we are very happy with the turnout, we are looking for individuals who are 18 years or older, proficient in English and enjoy working with people. The traveling industry was a bit sluggish in the past two years due to COVID-19 but everything is returning to normal. Our learners will learn from trainers who possess local and international experience and who will impart valuable knowledge beneficial to their success.”
The academy’s Guest Speaker Keoagile Manaiwa who is a Pilot and is employed by Fly SAFAIR encouraged the learners to persevere and be time conscious.

19-year old Thandeka Mbonani from Pretoria West said “I am satisfied with how everything went, their presentation was well structured and executed, I can’t wait to enrol for the flight attendant course.”
Sharing the same sentiments Pearl Sadiki from Soshanguve said “I am going to register and study to become a flight attendant.”
