Residents commuting to the City of Tshwane Central Business District will tomorrow see the town painted red, due to planned Economic Freedom Fighters march to the Tshwane House located at Corner Madiba and Lilian Ngonyi Street.
In a communiqué issued by The Labour Desk Interim Head Phillip Makwala and Co-Ordinator Baatseba Nchabeleng the statement read as follows “Attention to all Tshwane contract workers, securities guards, credit control, waste management and internship employees are invited and notified to attend a picket outside Tshwane House.”

“We demand feedback from the mayor Rendall Williams whom the EFF Tshwane labour desk served his office on the 08 June 2021 when we marched to the City offices with a memorandum that demands all contract employees be absorbed under the city as permanent workers and save Tshwane tax payers money.”
The EFF has been advocating the absorption of contract workers from municipalities across the country for many years.
