    Rietgat SAPS arrest 57 suspects

    The Rietgat SAPS continued to rid bad elements off the streets of its precinct in Soshanguve by arresting and charging 57 suspects for the commission of various crimes recently. Amongst the transgressors, some were arrested for the commission of offences inter alia: common assault, assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm, while others were apprehended for possession of drugs, theft out of motor vehicle, driving without  licence, business robbery, theft, contravention of protection order, common assault, pointing of firearm, resisting arrest, rape, burglary at residential premises and drinking in public.


    The Brigadier went further to extend his gratitude to the community members for their continued support in informing the police about the criminal activities and the whereabouts of wanted suspects in the precinct.

     The Station Commander of the Rietgat SAPS, Brigadier Ramakamakama Kekana, lauded  men and women in blue for walking an extra mile in ensuring that wanted suspects are apprehended and charged. The Brigadier went further to extend his gratitude to the community members for their continued support in informing the police about the criminal activities and the whereabouts of wanted suspects in the precinct. All arrested suspects will soon appear in the Soshanguve Magistrate’s Court
